Charlie Hill

Charlie Hill 1 Photo

Hill is a veteran Native American comedian whose laugh-out-loud comedy routines are seasoned with insightful cultural observations about modern America, and whose humor has helped break many stereotypes about Native Americans. Hill is the featured performer in the PBS program “On and Off the Res” from Native American Public Telecommunications, and he has appeared with such comedy stalwarts as David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, and Roseanne. Hill most recently appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman” Aug. 30 as part of the CBS show’s 13th anniversary episode. An accomplished actor and writer as well as comedian, Hill has made several notable TV guest appearances, including one in the 1995 Thanksgiving episode of ABC’s “Roseanne” that so impressed network executives they gave him a job as a writer. Much of Hill’s humor focuses on his experiences as a Native American performer in the national spotlight, but his funny, relevant stories and observations cross cultural lines to lighten and enlighten audiences everywhere with healing laughter.
