Jeffrey Ross
Jeff Ross is not known as Roastmaster General for no reason. He hosts his own show entitled "The Burn" which will air on Comedy Central. The show roasts the week's topics and takes Ross into the field where he gets to interact with the public, a skill Ross is an expert at. In August, Comedy Central premiered his newest comedy special entitled "Jeff Ross Roasts America," a stand-up show hybrid, which takes Jeff across the United States and into Canada speed roasting the people, places, and things that make this country so unique. Ross was also be seen on the recent Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne. A permanent fixture on these marquee Roasts, the Roast of Charlie Sheen was the most successful roast in Comedy Central history! Ross’s other blistering performances at celebrity roasts honoring mega stars like Joan Rivers, Hugh Hefner, Pamela Anderson, Jerry Stiller, Drew Carey, Shaquille O'Neal, David Hasselhoff, and Donald Trump has crowned him as a “One-Man Verbal Assault Unit". Ross wrote his first book, “I Only Roast the Ones I Love: Busting Balls without Burning Bridges” by Simon Spotlight Entertainment, a division of Simon & Schuster and is now available in Paperback. This year Ross announced that the movie script he co-wrote with producer Art Linson will go into production. This film, entitled “The Comedian”, will star Robert De Niro and Kristen Wigg and will be directed by Sean Penn.
As a stand-up comic, Jeff has appeared on dozens of TV shows including David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien, Carson Daly, ABC's “The View” and HBO's “Real Time with Bill Maher”. Jeff also continues to perform regularly for American men and women in uniform stationed all over the world. As a filmmaker, Jeff's directorial debut, "Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Ross Home Movie" nabbed the best feature film award at the Montreal Comedy Festival. The film is a funny and poignant documentary that captures Jeff's life changing experience entertaining U.S. troops stationed around Iraq. In addition to Jeff's dramatic turn on the hit CBS show, "C.S.I.", he has appeared on HBO's "Six Feet Under" and Showtime's "Weeds".
In film, he has appeared in the Farrelly Brothers' "Stuck on You", Paul Weitz's "American Dreamz" and critically acclaimed comedy, "The Aristocrats". Jeff has also written and produced celebrity roasts for Comedy Central and executive-produced and hosted his own highly rated re- imagination of the roasts, "MTV's Bash of Carson Daly", which featured Madonna, Eminem, Fifty Cent, Britney Spears, P. Diddy, Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, Jon Stewart, Kid Rock, and Nelly all "bashing" the guest of honor for charity. Jeff also wrote for the MTV Video Music Awards for hosts Jamie Foxx and Chris Rock and the 2000 Academy Awards for host Billy Crystal. He's also helped write the first season of "The Man Show" on Comedy Central and consulted on "Who's Line is it Anyway" for ABC.
