Skyler Stone's #ComedyRocks is a staple at this point in the Los Angeles comedy community. It always sells out. The lineup is always meticulously curated by actor/comedian Skyler Stone (had his own Comedy Central show called Con and has been seen on TV's Raising Hope, Castle, Two Broke Girls and the movies Waiting, Jarhead, & Hostel 3). And you never know who is going to drop in! #ComedyRocks is famous for its rare gets and surprises. He's had Bill Burr, Jay Mohr, Dave Attell, Jim Jefferies, TJ Miller, Bob Saget, Damon Wayans, Aziz Ansari and many more pop in! It is often a benefit show as Comedy Rocks' main mission is to raise massive funds for charities worldwide and even close to home causes like for comics that have hit hard times. Heck, Skyler even threw a benefit for his mechanic once when he fell ill. It's one of our most popular shows it has been sold out for nearly 8 years and it has raised thousands for charity!
On some occasions #ComedyRocks follows a formula wherein it has an entire music theme throughout the entire show. On those shows you can expect comedians talking about music like Marc Maron or Brian Posehn or Chris Porter or Greg Behrendt or even Aries Spears doing his famous impressions of JayZ and Snoop, while also expecting musical comedy acts like Garfunkel & Oates or Nick Thune or Craig Robinson or Zach Galifianakis. And when it is a music-themed show, it is capped off with a live, off the cuff, bales the wall onstage interview with a huge music icon. Interview guests in the past have been Gene Simmons, Stewart Copeland (The Police), RZA, Moby, Josh Homme, Matt Sorum (GNR), Jay Bentley (Bad Religion), Andy Summers (The Police), Mickey Avalon, Everlast (House Of Pain) and many more! It's a rare thing to see names like that being interviewed in such an intimate environment and it's a Comedy Store first as no one has ever done live interviews of huge music guests like this onstage at the club.
Skyler's lineups add comics all the way up until the last minute so always check back in and refresh the page to see who has been added to the bill. But at the same time don't sleep on it, because it does sell out. Many get tickets before the lineup drops as its that sure of a bet always! It has major regulars. So just get tickets no matter who is announced yet, as it's a guaranteed good lineup every time. It's being developed as a TV series as well, so see it before everyone else does! Don't miss out! Buy now!
Use the official hashtag for the show (#ComedyRocks) on all of your social media posts regarding the show – whether you are on the way to the event, watching it live onstage or thinking about it days after, Skyler sees the hashtag gives away free VIP tickets constantly to those who share their memories and thoughts of the show! Skyler's Twitter and Instagram and Snapchat handles are @theskylerstone, make sure you tag him too!
This show takes place every other Thursday in the main room of the world famous Comedy Store.
